They say "Crime doesn't pay" which is true, but you have to wonder why these inept would-be criminals even tried!

Like the man attempting to hold-up a bank and wrote the stick-up note on the back of HIS OWN deposit slip.

Or how about the couple on a nationally-syndicated court show that questioned the victim in the courtroom: :
"Well, If you knew we were liars and thieves, why did you trust us with your property?"

Or the guy went into the bank, handed a teller a stickup note, only to be told to wait for the next available teller, which he did patiently-stocking mask and all-until the police called his number and let him away in handcuffs.

Or the color-blind counterfeiter who made BOTH sides of the bogus bills the same color?

and our personal favorite...the man who broke free from police and led them on a 30 block chase through the city streets. When the suspect came to a dead-end he scaled the tall fence...only to find he had just climbed the fence INTO the County Jail!

SOUTH PLAINFIELD RECYCLING PROGRAM

The South Plainfield Recycling Center on Kenneth Avenue will be closed on Tuesday, February 13, because Lincoln’s Birthday is a Borough holiday. Recycling will be open instead from noon to
7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14.

Both the Recycling Center and the Yard Waste Site will be open as usual from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 10. The Complex will also be closed on Tuesday, February 20 because of the Presidents’ Day holiday weekend, and open instead from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21. Regular Recycling Drop-off Center Hours are 12 noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

2007 Yard Waste Decals are available in the Municipal Clerk's office in Borough Hall Monday - Friday. Bring the registra-tion of the vehicle you will be using.

A SPECIAL NOTICE FROM THE
SOUTH PLAINFIELD PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Library will be closed on Monday, February 12th, in observance of Lincoln's Birthday, and on Monday, February 19th, in observance of Presidents' Day. However, the Library will be open on Sunday, February 11th, and on Sunday, February 18th.

During the winter months, the Library may need to close due to inclement weather. If this happens, closing announcements will be made over radio stations WAWZ (99.1 FM), WCTC (1450 AM) and NJ 101.5 FM. Information will also be posted on the Library's website and on the websites for WCTC and NJ 101.5.
